Top-Entry Open Tank — Medium to Heavy Duty
A range of top-entry mixers from medium to heavy duty open tank applications. The Mixtec 1000 Series handles tanks too large for direct drives, with mounting arrangements including standard flat base, raised baseplate (water treatment), and angle riser (10°). The 4000 Series handles the largest mining tanks — up to 80 feet in diameter and 80 feet high.
Larger installations include HA720 hydrofoils at almost 26 feet in diameter, with individual impeller blades weighing over 2,200 lb. HA736 impeller blades can exceed 5,500 lb each, with gear drives incorporating 450 HP motors powering agitators reaching 45+ tons.
Most common 4000 Series applications include CIL & CIP mining, neutralization tanks, cyanide destruction, surge & buffer tanks, wastewater treatment, and acid mine water neutralization.

Top-Entry Closed Tank Mixers
The Mixtec 2000 Series is designed for closed and sealed vessels. Different processes require different sealing arrangements — Mixtec offers lip seals, packed glands, moat seals, and mechanical seals, with each base custom-designed as a pedestal incorporating the chosen seal option.
Common applications include autoclaves, sugar pan mixers, heat transfer and mass transfer applications, bitumen make-up, and many more closed-process requirements.

Direct Drive & Gear-Driven Side-Entry Mixers
The 5000 Series mixers are simple pedestal mixers incorporating a shut-off device for easy seal maintenance, mounted horizontally with the customer's chosen seal arrangement. This shut-off device allows the drive and seal to be removed without draining the vessel contents.
The 5050 Series is a direct-drive side-entry mixer for smaller, simpler applications that do not require complicated sealing arrangements. Both series are our most common, with most applications typically under 40 HP.

Portable & Direct-Drive Mixers
The Mixtec 250 Series portable range is direct-driven for small-scale mixing applications that do not require a great deal of mixing precision. Typical applications include 55-gallon drums and tote tanks for homogenization and high-shear mixing.
Mountings include baseplate, angle bracket, angle clamp, angle riser, and stool/pedestal. Drum mixers utilize a Bung Adapter which screws directly into the drum's nozzle. The 250 Series can also use the Mixtec Swing Wing impeller — which folds down to fit through a bung or small opening, then unfolds when started.
